Cognitive Behaviour Counselling (CBC) is a talking/listening therapy. CBC has been proven to treat a wide range of physical and emotional health in children, young people and adults.
Client and Counsellor use the sessions to look at the client's thoughts (cognitions), which are likely to be negative thoughts, which change people's feelings, which in turn leads the client to change their behaviours, creating a vicious circle which normally ends with consequences e.g. sleep deprivation, anxiety, anger etc.
CBC is also a task based, homework based therapy allowing the client to deal with the 'Here and Now' issues affecting their lives, allowing the client to understand and overcome his/her problems rather than feel they are receiving treatment.
